One-on-one personalized training sessions can be transformative no matter what goals you’re looking to achieve with your puppy. River City Dog Training teaches reward-based and science-backed techniques, which means we prioritize your amazing relationship with your puppy as well as your training goals. The Booking Process

Before booking any initial services, please fill out the forms on the New Client page by clicking the button below.

  1. Fill out the New Client contact form with your training goals and pup’s behavior history and information.

  2. Sign the Waiver of Liability and Release Form.

  3. After you complete the previous steps, your trainer will contact you and send the link to purchase and book your initial session and all subsequent sessions.

In-Home Services

  • Initial In-home Session - $165

    The initial in-home session lasts 75-90 minutes, during which we work together to create customized training & management plans for your individual needs. Your trainer will also teach you and your dog some cues and exercises that will help toward your goals! Our in-home sessions provide a level of customization to help you feel confident implementing the training even after your trainer has left your home.

  • 3-Pack of Follow up Sessions

    Purchase a 3-pack of follow-up in-home sessions to continue working with me on your pup’s training plan!

    Only applicable to follow-up sessions (Initial sessions not included).

  • 5-Pack of Follow-up Sessions - $495

    Purchase a 5-pack of follow-up in-home sessions at a 10% discount to continue working with me on your pup’s training plan!

    Only applicable to follow-up sessions (Initial sessions not included).

  • 8-Pack of Follow-up Sessions - $795

    Purchase an 8-pack of follow-up in-home sessions (at a 10% discount) to continue working with me on your pup’s training plan!

    Only applicable to follow-up sessions.

Additional Dog - $30

Have more than one pup in the household you’d like me to work with? No problem! Add an additional dog to your training session for a $30 fee.

In-home private sessions in Richmond, VA

In-home sessions are available to those within 30 minutes of the Swansboro/Reedy Creek area. If you prefer in-home sessions but are over the 30 minutes limit (without taking toll roads), I apply a small ‘travel fee’ for gas mileage and travel time. (There’s a 40 minute cap to the travel fee.)

 

Virtual Services

  • Initial Virtual Session - $130

    The initial virtual session lasts 75-90 minutes, during which we work together to create customized training & management plans for your individual needs. In our virtual training sessions, your trainer acts as a teacher, coach, and body language translator for you and your dog by coaching you through cues and exercises via zoom! Virtual private training is a great option if you’re out of range for in-home sessions or you’re looking for more affordable training options.

  • Follow-Up Virtual Session - $90

    Follow-up virtual sessions last 60 minutes, during which your trainer will continue to teach you skills and exercises from your training & management plans and increase the difficulty of the skills you’ve mastered. We also highly encourage clients to prepare any questions or concerns you have between sessions so that we can help to fine-tune your dog’s training and figure out where any additional groundwork needs to be done.
